Down here at Mertasari beach, Sanur, Kite flying is a big business at weekends. Every Saturday and Sunday thousands of people come here to take part in competitions and just watch. Thousands of people, thousands of motorbikes!
The competition scoring is based on design, size (some are 4 to 5m long!), height achieved and sound – they attached bits to the kites so the wind blows though to create some eery noises. I have some pics but still on my camera so I will put them in another post.
I’ve been exploring Sanur on foot. It’s annoying me because I have a cartilage problem on my left knee – a lifetime of football, squash, cricket (wicket keeper), dinghy sailing, rock climbing and martial arts, coupled with a couple of serious motorcycle accidents, has left me suffering! Still, I’m alive!!!
I havent got much further with Fairy Hanny and the Knights in White satin, though I am reviewing the others.
I’m adding scripts to the Cold Calling course. As I am still building this site I have dropped the price to get some movement – $3!!! I found an app called Voxaline which says it will convert voice to text and apparently it is free. I will try it out – anyone used it?
